I have been trying to sight in my marlin 39as, with sub-par results.
I have a stupid question. Growing up i was always told to tap front sight to adjust windage, and there is a slot that moves the front sight back and forth...so i never questioned this. I used this method to set windage, and the sight is pushed so far over---feels like i am aiming through a side mount scope.
Just looked at the manual and it tells me to tap the rear sight base to adjust windage? Where on the base do you tap? There is no pics in manual to show. Didn't find much help with internet search.
Just shows what your daddy tells you isn't always right, time to educate myself.
Any help would be appreciated.
