Im going to shoot my new mosin sniper and Im planning on zeroing it tomorrow. Since in the old PU sights the reticle moves I'm wondering whats the ideal position of it at 100 meters? Is it dead center of the sight? I'm sure the windage is ideally dead center at 100 but my concern is the elevation. Should it be dead center slightly above or below?

For starters, remove the bolt. Put the rifle on sandbags or a rest. Without moving the rifle at all, sight on a distant point with the sights, then look through the bore, should be looking at the same thing. Then move the pointer on the PU scope to the same point. Repeat a number of times till you have it dead nuts.

That'll get you close.

did mine tonight what a pain in the ass the lower elevation screw was double staked almost stripped ..the scope was way out of adjustment ...im a little dissapointed but i will get over it ...my old basement found parts sniper shot awesome kinda made up for it
