Sighting in my new AR

Hey guys, just got back from range. I have an M&P 15 flattop with a Strikefire and a standard AR front sight. The gun is consistently shooting 6 inches lower than where I'm aiming at about 20ft. I do have the .22 conversion kit in it but at that short distance figured it wouldn't matter. I took the Stikefire off to get it out of the way. Which way do I move the front ironsight to get this rifle shooting accurately?

Screw the front sight down to raise your point of impact. My 22 kit shoots about 3" low.

thanks man! can the front AR sight adjust left to right as well?

The front sight only goes up and down for elevation.
