Guys , I have not started from the beginning with a slug gun for 20 years. I just bought a new system this passed spring and set it all up the other day. I walked out to the range to sight in the new scope with the new barrel I got. I used some old sabot slugs , to fine tune the scope.

I was shooting at 25 yards and the first missed a pizza box , but soon got it on the paper and the last shot placed it right in the center of a 2x2 in square.

I plan on using the Remington Ultra Core locks for hunting, My question is .......

I forgot about the range in slugs ..... If I have this gun hitting at 25 yards should it be the same at 100 ?

Thanks if you can help me...BT

Adrian, the only way to ensure that this is the case is to shoot it @ 100.

I've sighted my 45-70 in dead on @ 25 (Or so I thought) only yo have this hit 4 inches right and low @ 100.

The best insurance is to line it up @ 100 too.

You will be on the paper at 100 Adrian... but where is a good question.
Remington Corelocked Ultras using Remington Cantelevered rifled barrels should be around 2 inches high at 50 yards.... 2 1/2 high at 100 yards... and right on the button at 200 yards. This will give a 250 yard shot around 6-7inches low 8)

Remember to clean vigorously with Sabot Solvent every 6-8 shots... or your just wasting your time for accuracy
