sighting with buis

hey, i just picked up a set of MI buis(ERS&FFR) for my grizz from wolverine, but have an iron sights noob question.
when sighting with the buis am i supposed to focus on the rear sight or the front?
basically i can only get one sight to be in focus, perhaps its my poor vision or glasses or is this normal?

As with most iron sights, if not all of them you focus on the front sight.
