anyone have experience or insight on the Sightmark 3x magnifiers?

FS has them for sale and i was wondering if it would be a good magnifier to mate upto the EOtech XPS?

I googled the Sightmark magnifiers and red dots months ago. You either find nothing on them or you might see a couple of negative or mixed reviews. The price is cheap but I'd rather buy a product you don't have to second guess.

i already budgeted for an EOtech magnifier but the wife doesnt like the look of the $ amount!

after talking with scott at Questar i think ill leave the EOtech on my list

I just got a 5x magnifcation and you need to place your eye right on it to get a good view

You should also look at the Lucid and Vortex 3x magnifier's.
