I am in need of another scope for 1000 yard plinking, the question is do I go with the 8-32x56 SIII or the 10-50x60 SIII? I have the 8-32x56 now and like it, but why not have the option of a little more magnification? Anyone have a 10-50x60 and wish they had the 8-32x56? I have till Tuesday to decide then a site sponsor will be getting the call for one or the other. Thanks for any help on this.

I am running 4 of the 10-50's now, I never whine about having to much magnification, all of my targets are stationary at know distances so there is no point in me paying for a bunch of gimmicks I can't use and don't need to use. I prefer the target dot, works good for me on IBS score targets at 1-2-3 and 600 yards, I find the fine crosshairs so fine that I can't see them on a busy target or in mirage no matter the magnification power, that 1/8 minute dot has been working for me for a long long time now. Best advice is to look through one of each and decide on what works better for you, looking at pictures and taking in forum expert opinions may not work so good for you out in the field

Both excellent scopes. I use the 10-50 on my competition rifles. I enjoy the higher mag when the air allows. I can always dial back. Don't see myself ever going under 24X but definitely have used 45X.

Another point to consider is 2014 scope inventory. I am still waiting on 2015 pricing but expect a sizeable jump given that exchange rates have dropped close to 25cents since last Jan.

Contact the dealer asap before they run out of older stock and have to charge the newer numbers.

For reticles, I love the LRMOA - that is the only reticle for all my LR and target shooting.
