Looks like sightron listens to their customers, was just on their sight and noticed they have 2 new reticle choices for their SIII 8-32x56
A mildot with MOA adjustments and a Mildot with milrad adjustment.

The 10-50X60 has an lluminated MOA reticle, +$150+/-. The Metric adjustment with MOA reticle, +$30 or so.

We have these ordered, ETA 60 days.

The new models do have "new" exposed target knobs. They mention that they don't, simply to differentiate. The 10-50X60 doesn't have a sunshade, but is an oprtion. The other SIII models have sunshades.

Crap. I just bought a mil-dot Sightron off of Peter a few months ago. I would have loved to have had the lines rather than the Dots if I could have at time.

I'm not complaining, just #####in.

Still a great scope Peter. I love it.

I've had 3 sightrons, one mildot, one target dot, and my 8-32x56mm is FCH.

Honestly I like the FCH the most. Nice clean reticle for target shooting.

Thanks for the info Peter, I just looked on the website and they finally have pics up of the new models...lo and behold, target knobs, looks like Sightron has 'clinched it' for me...I was going back and forth between a NF 8-32 and an SIII, only problem was the reticle choice...

Now if they would just get their act together and retrofit target turrets and reticles to existing scopes, I'd be pulling out the credit card for one or three...

Jordan, although customer input must always be considered, not sure we would support reticle changes, as this would cost about $350 with shipping, a very high percentage of cost of new scope. Will mention it to Sightron next week and post response.

Peter

Thanks for your response, Peter. A reticle swap would be nice, but not totally necessary. I'm more choked about the fact that they won't retrofit target turrets into any of their scopes. I want a lightweight, long-range capable scope, and was considering the 6x42 SIIBS, but they can't put target turrets on it. That is the deal breaker for me. I've run into the same problem with one or two Sightron scope options before, and I was hoping that they had changed that policy, but I guess they haven't yet.

Let me know what you find out! I'd be very happy to hear it if they started offering target turret retrofitting to their scopes as an option!

Hey Peter,

Any update on this? More specifically- swapping out the hunter knobs for target turrets...

Thanks

Jordan:

Changing from hunting to target knobs as not an option at this time.

The new models with tactical-style adjustments, 1/8 MOA adjustments, milradian adustments and MOA reticles was well received, indications of Sightrons growing acceptance in the serious shooter's eyes.

Regards,

Peter
