Sightron s111 ,NXS,Vortex PST, glass clarity??

I've also owned all three of these scopes, and I 100% agree, bang for the buck, the Sightron wins hands down. I thought, to my eyes, the Sightron glass is just as good as the Nightforce NXS glass. The Vortex was a step behind. The Nightforce is definitely more robust but have never had any issue with my Sightrons. My buddy uses the Sightron 10-50 S3 on his 50 cal BMG, and has been perfect thru two shooting seasons, so they can take a beating too.
I've owned a Vortex Razor II and have a Nightforce 7-35 ATACR on my bench right now, and these are quite a bit better in all respects, including price!
If you had a strict budget, the Sightron can't be beat though.

I own Sightron SIII, PST, SHV, NXS. The Sightron for the price is probably the best bang for the buck. PST has worked good but the glass is the worst out of the scopes listed. SHV are nice, but for dialing I would like bigger turrets. I am waiting to hear reviews on the PST GEN 2. Now with a zero stop and better glass it may be worth looking at.

How would you compare the glass ,from the 6-24 S111 ,to the SHV 5-20?
I've had a couple of SHV 5-20 and found them to be very clear.

I can get the S111 from Irunguns for$1250 ,all in.
Or $1520 from Canada :)

The Vortex looks good, but I'm tired of trying new stuff ,and being disappointed. Gets costly LOL.

My S3 is a 8-32x56. But I'd say the glass is very similar to my SHV. Prices on everything is getting ridiculous. I picked up my S3 on here three yrs ago for $830! Like I said if you are going to dial a lot then I'd go sightron with exposed turrets. Just wish they had a zero stop. I've seen guys cut and install a shim which I should make. If you can swing it then a NXS. I have a 8-32x56 NXS on my 6.5x47 and it's a great scope.

STAC1-7 share SIII glass... why the price is so high vs the other STACs in the line up.

The 3-16 is likely the best glass in its price range vs competitors... It is a hint behind the SIII's... see my review on my website

If you don't like the central dot, then the LRMOA/LRMH reticles are not for you... Pity, they offer a lot of utility in LR shooting.

If the budget allows, the SVSS rocks... and can't wait for the new ED version.

I must've got one of the SVSS ED Sightrons by mistake back in December. I bought an SVSS LRMOA, but what was actually in the box was an SVSS with the dot reticle. Looks like that reticle is only available on the ED version. I sent it back lol.

If only I'd have known at the time, I would've compared it side by side with my other SVSS. It looked great, but I can't really comment on how it compared to the non ED. I just browsed through the 2017 Sightron Catalog tonight and came across it and am kicking myself at the possible missed opportunity. I had no knowledge of the ED version at that time.

I've owned all three of those and I rate them #1 Nightforce, #2 Sightron, #3 Vortex. The only place a Vortex beats the Sightron is in illuminated reticle and zero stop but I can live without those so rate Sightron higher due to the better glass.
Nightforce and Sightron are pretty close in clarity and definition but the Nightforce is a little better so if price is not a concern go Nightforce.
