Sightron SIII 8x32856 MOA2 question (any 56mm scope actually)

Do I have to have special rings to mount the above scope on a Remington 5R? I haven't purchased rings and a rail yet so I can't really measure to check.

It really depends on the specific scope, rifle, rail and rails.

Not very helpful I know but give Jerry at Mystic Percision a ring, he was bang on with my Savage 110 BA and the Sightron you are looking at.

Got it nice and low, hate it when the scope "looms" above a rifle.

I think I'm going to have issues with my CZ527 Kevlar trying to stop the overhanging scope. The bolt handle hits the eye peice I've heard....?

So my future sightron purchase may not look as good as it should.

On my short action Remington with the same Sightron you have listed, I've got weaver two piece bases and 30mm rings with 1/2 inch rise to the rings and the lens cap still clears the barrel by 1/8 (maybe slightly less) or so of an inch. Hope this helps.

I have the exact same scope which I bought from Mystic Precision & put on a Tik-Tac 308. Originally, I put a Leupold ring which added weight to the rifle & opted for Night Force Ultralite rings which are half the weight of the Leupold rings. just my two cents.
