This would replace a VX31.5-5 on a 375. True 1X, bit more on the top end, illuminated ballistic reticle. The rifle will be my daily hunter, getting it cut to 20" as we speak. I'm concerned about the recoil eating the Sightron. Anyone used 1 in a similar application?

Note: There will surely be 1/2 dozen regular posters that would say don't change anything. I respect your right to have an opinion, but please limit your replies to this thread to discussion of the Sightron. This isn't a DG in Africa. It's a daily hunter for NA. Thanks.

I have an MOA reticle on my AR. It's a nice scope with clear glass. I was initially going to put it on my 375 H&H. I asked Jerry (dealer mystic precision) about recoil and he said it wouldn't be a problem. Only downside I can see is that it's a noticeable step up in weight from the leupold.

The CZ in a Boyd's laminate is heavy already, I don't think a little more will change much. I won't be taking it sheep hunting for sure. At some point I may look for a light Kimber in 7mm for something easy to carry. Optic weight would matter more then I think.

I have mine on my AR for 3 gun. Exceptional Glass, Exceptional tracking, clear reticle, and the illumination is pretty good. No visial artifacting in the glass, and rugged. I plan to get one for my 30-06 for hunting, and have no qualms about durability at all.

Thanks for posting. Noticed you on the 3 gun optic thread.

So far so good. Not one of my Sightrons' have ever gone back for any work at all. Reliable, repeatable, and clear. I went thru a number of optics before buying this. Would have been cheaper in the long run if I had done this in the first place instead of 'making do' with the other stuff.
