I am looking at the sIII 6-24-50 or the8-32-56 both in lrmoa. New there is only $15 difference so the question is which one . Main use will be on bench rest, starting out on a savage m12 22-250.

I really like my 6-24-50 but it is a bit bulky when I use it for hunting, I think that the bigger scope would be too much for me to carry in the field. I shoot benchrest for fun and try to shoot coyotes in the winter.

I plink LR with a 6-24 LRMOA. I compete in F class with the 10-50 LRIRMOA.

kind of skipped over the 8-32 but many shooters really like it as a compromise.

Sorry, no definitive answer but it really boils down to how you will use the scope. Any of these will put a huge smile on your face.

if moving around the field is a possibility, don't get the 8-32. It is a big honking scope not suitable for walkabout anything.

Thanks Jerry, so why only $15 difference in price. I was leaning to the 6-24 because of putting it on a22-250 as a compromise. Any specials or discounts coming up?

No idea but likely the prices will spread out for 2013. Given that they are on backorder with a solid order file, I don't expect any specials on these scopes. We can't get enough.

For general plinking, the 6-24X50 is ideal.

I own the 6-24x50 mildot and use it on my 338 Lapua, I really like it for use in the field hunting but when I'm at the range somethimes I wish I had a little more magnification. The glass is really clear and the turrets are nice. You may as well go 8-32 if your just going to be at the range. More is better :)
Great scope for the money.

I bought it from Mystic and highly recommend them. Excellent service and quick shipping.
