Guys i need some help. I have a CZ75 pre B. I would like to use it for IDPA . I don't like the standard sights on the gun. I"m sure thats not why i'm a bad shot. What could i put on it? That would be ok for IDPA, and not be too expensive. I know adjustable sights is the way to go, but is there something else that is a easy replacement? A web site would help alot. Maybe i should leave the sights the way they are. I'm new to IDPA and any info would be appreciated. Thanks AGE:confused:

I don't think adjustable sights are really necessary. A set of fixed sights properly matched work great and accuracy will not be a problem with any bullet weight you choose. At the ranges we shoot at bullet drop is not significant.

You can get a set of fixed rear/FO front combos from CZ Custom that should work just fine. I would send them an email first to make sure the sights will fit your Pre B. If you phone down just ask as they have a very knowlageable staff who can guide you to what you want. The fibre optic front sight is the easiest to pick up against the tan cardboard targets.

Does your pre-B have a dovetail front sight or staked in? You could go with the CZ custom rear, but I don't think they offer a frant sight to fit your CZ. What I did with one of my older CZ's is I sent it to Rodger at Dark International and he made me a fiber optic front and it is awesome. He's quick, and rates are good. I have one of the Mec-Gar rear adjustable sights and it is a nice piece. Just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks Alphamike. Rodger as done a few guns for me and i will be seeing him again soon. Great guy and very good gunsmith.

He is excellent. And if you decide to get him to do a front sight for you, you won't be disappointed. I have an '85 also that I might be sending to him for one of these sights. I am sure he could easily do a blade too if you wanted, not just a fiber optic. Good luck!
