sights.......what should I get?

ok lads I need sights for my HP9 14" what and where should I look?

Ghost ring or Rifle?

Rifle would be lower profile, but Ghost rings seem to rock on a shotgun.

Where you thinking do it yourself or gunsmith?

Williams Gun Sight Company make a GRS that look to be low profile and unlike most the rear sight is barrel mounted and the front a FO.

Wilson combat make a compact set up for the 870/hp9. "Trak-lock" I think it's called,seems to be a standard for the 870 type SG.

ETA;for the Williams ,looks like you might need Rifle sights to mount it on.

I have one with ghost rings and ain't impressed. I would go actual rifle sights or a plain bead if I did it again (my 14" 870 with the bead gets the most use). But if you are going ghost rings, Casey at Tacord has Vang Comp, they're pricey but of all the ghost rings I liked them the best.

last i checked, Casey at Tacord had the best price on ghost rings (the Wilson Combat ones) -- i havent been able to find a better price even in the US.
send him a PM, he can mail you the sites but he doesnt charge much for installation - especially if youre also refinishing your shotgun.
