Is a signature required on delivery when ordering firearms? I forgot to ask when I placed the order and I just want to make sure if I'm not home it won't be left on my porch (I live on king st)

Thanks!

I came home one afternoon to find my Armalite M15A2 carbine, bayonet and 5/30 round mag leaning against the door. Not quite as bad was when my neighbor brought the M1A over she signed for after dinner. Always make sure a signature is required.

By law all fire arms are supposed to be shipped with requiring signature... I asked a company to do no signature and they sent me a link to the corresponding law (I have since lost said link...)

One would expect signature required for ammo/firearms.

Crazy when Sigs are required for several bucks items from fleaBay.

I had someone ship me a Weatherby Accumark and didn't ask for sig.....it spent the afternoon leaning against my front door barely 30feet from kids going home from school and people walking around....I got home and was like WTF? Canada post could have at least left it at the back door!? I've had to go there and sign for packages that would fit in my box but somehow a huge box with a rifle in it was left at the front of my house hahahaha I love (insert sarcasm here) CP!

All rifles are "supposed" to be signature required, but i can't count the number of items i've had left at the door with big "DO NOT SAFEDROP" or "Signature Required" stickers on them, but yet had to go pick up at the post office other packages that could have been left at the door.

It sometimes seems to be a crapshoot depending on who you have delivering and what kind of mood they're in that day.

ALL firearms ship signature required, insured, from WanstallsOnline. You can check by looking for the [X] (X in square) selection in the lower right of your shipping label. We do not charge any additional fees for the insurance and the signature option as we do not believe in passing these costs of business and peace of mind onto our customers. We'd want the same thing if the positions were reversed, so this will always be the policy here at Wanstalls. Your firearms, no matter the value, always ship with a signature required and insurance, for $10 flat.

Thanks for subsidizing the shipping cause 10 bucks won't cover cost.

It's called driver release you can leave parcels at doors unless it's a cell phone. You can pay extra if it requires a signature it's still better left at the door then squished in a over stuffed truck. If you can't be home for a delivery ship it to your work ,I'm sure the boss won't mind a rifle or two showing up at the job .

It's really a crap shoot. By law it requires a signature, the last time UPS called and asked if anyone was at home before they came, the previous time they left it at the door even though it was clearly written on the box "do not safe drop".

By law? Whos law may I ask?
Your right when it comes to couriers, satisfaction is a crap shoot, some drivers give a hoot and are loaded with common sense, others not so much.
Do not safe drop is a sticker placed on box by shipper because they choose not to pay the premium for "signature in person".
I'm a courier, when I scan a bar code it notifies me whether I need a signature or not. If I don't its pure discretion on my part. As I've mentioned in other posts a brown box with a sticker saying small arms cartridges means nothing to most people outside of shooting sports. I personally wouldn't leave it because I know what it means. To most others it's a plain brown box with "unknown contents and value". A couriers job is to "deliver" packages to the labeled address.
Be proactive as a customer. Leave a note on your door for the couriers out there, were not mind readers and we don't have X-ray vision. All the best :)
