sigp220r

Check out Wolverine Supplies ( www.wolverinesupplies.com ) They have the P220R listed at $1050.00

I Love my P220, definetly the best handgun I've ever shot. I'm looking to put a surefire or streamlight on it but I can't find any pictures of P220Rs with a tac light mounted on it. Anybody know where I can find pics of either? If not does anyone have suggestions on which light to get? I've never operated either one so any advice is appreciated.

I'm still looking for a picture of a 220R as I want one on mine, I love my Sig :p

My Sigg 220, issued in `85, has more than 75,000 rounds through it. Most have been my light lead SWC. I've only had to replace some springs such as recoil, trigger return, and decocker springs.

I carried it for 5 years after carrying my Python for 20 years as my duty gun. I carried it for an additional four years when I worked for the courts.

I had Robar put NP3 on it and I put on wood grips. After 20 years, it still looks and shoots as well as the day it was issued.

Nine,

Thanks. The Sig is the new kid on the block.

I bought the Python, NIB in `65 for $100, and carried it for 20 years, until I was forced, kicking and screaming, to transition to autos. That's when the Sig entered the picture.

After 20 years of holster daily wear, it needed a re-blueing. Colt was in the middle of labor problems and my phone call to Colt resulted in a very negative response. A local `smith, who was also a friend, made an offer I couldn't refuse: He'd do the job and if I was not satisfied, there'd be no charge. The Python came back looking like a brand new gun.

I used to use the Python as a standard for accuracy when testing a newly obtained gun. About twoyears ago, I got a 6" Trooper Mark III that shoots a tighter group than the Python. I think it's the extra 2".

By the way, I still have the box and bill of sale for the Python. No,.....it is not for sale even if somebody offered me the opportunity to double my money,

Nine,

I don't have any photos but I'll try to take some. Since I don't know how to post pictures and am a complete idiot when it comes to these "devil's devices", I'll have to e-mail them to you,

John

Nine,

I e-mailed some photos.

mazzy,

I am sorry for the thread drift. Good luck with the new toy and I hope you get the service from yours that I've gotten from mine,

John
