DAO mechanisms like Sig's DAK are basically idiot-proof systems designed for nervous rookie cops and people who are generally too stupid to remember to keep their finger off the trigger. For police officers who find themselves in situations where they have to keep their guns pointed at human beings, this is a useful feature. For target shooting, it's an unnecessary handicap. Just my personal opinion, of course.lwiph said:I'm interested about the sigsauer pistols and I want to have some infos about the DAK system. How does it work??? How do you like it? I want some comments about this system, the good, the worst!!!

You can let the trigger release all the way for the same 6 pound trigger that the first shot flew off at, or if for some reason you don't release far enough, it will catch halfway and you can fire it at somewhere around 9 pounds. An interesting, but probably not often used feature. Mine will stay in my collection.
