I'm interested about the sigsauer pistols and I want to have some infos about the DAK system. How does it work??? How do you like it? I want some comments about this system, the good, the worst!!!
Thank you

A friend of mine shot the DAK and told me to consider it, he said it was nice, I still went for DA/SA. Plus you might find it hard to locate a SIG DAK up here.

DOA trigger equipped pistols are kinda like shooting revolvers. The trigger travel and reset is the same every time you pull the trigger.

This can be a nice feature once your use to it, and providing the travel is not huge and creepy.

DAO mechanisms like Sig's DAK are basically idiot-proof systems designed for nervous rookie cops and people who are generally too stupid to remember to keep their finger off the trigger. For police officers who find themselves in situations where they have to keep their guns pointed at human beings, this is a useful feature. For target shooting, it's an unnecessary handicap. Just my personal opinion, of course.

TSE has some I think (unless they are already sold out).

Yes we brought some in and they sat here forever, just got rid of the last one a couple months ago. There is very little demand for them.
I can order more if someone wants one, they cost a little more than the standard gun, and you get a heavier longer trigger pull in exchange. The DAK is better that the older DAO design, but I personally see no reason for it.

I own an RDAK and I consider it a very wise investment. The trigger action is akin to a nice revolver double action and it offers the benefits of a consistent trigger pull from shot to shot. I suppose it depends what you have the HG for, if its IPSC competition, you can get better. If its for a simple to use, "bad times" handgun, it is superior for those who don't get to train weekly or monthly.
I know that for a standard Sig you can buy a relatively cheap conversion to change your DAO for a standard double/single. i wonder if this can be done for the RDAK? Anyone?

One more thing, the reset for a quick double tap is interesting. You can let the trigger release all the way for the same 6 pound trigger that the first shot flew off at, or if for some reason you don't release far enough, it will catch halfway and you can fire it at somewhere around 9 pounds. An interesting, but probably not often used feature. Mine will stay in my collection.

There was a review of it in Shooting Times a few months back. The review was very positive. Still, I am not sure why someone would want to shoot one over the standard SA/DA setup.

  Personally wouldn't likely appreciate that feel...a double action that feels like a two stage sometimes and has varying weights and etc...
