Silkscreening rifles?

While I'll say up front I do like the 'black' rifle finish sometimes I think it's a little plain at times just to have black-and-black.

I looked around and dug up a silk screening kit and got an idea. A while back I asked some questions about painting guns with brushes, but apparently the results wouldn't be too good from what I was told.

I'm wondering if silkscreening would work? It'd be easier than airbrushing, although maybe a little more time-intensive.

Rattle can, Airbrush, or small HVLP spray gun is how most camo paint/coating jobs are done.

Fair enough, but stencil patterns are also used extensively.
