Anyone ever make any silver bullets? In any caliber? Pictures would be awesome as well, I thought it might be neat to try, Silver being at 33$ an ounce

Nope. But I remeber Silver Bullet being a fun/campy horror movie. The kids have their chains melted to make one special bullet.

I believe pistol bullets are more cinematically correct for precious metal projectiles. Personally I think a SWC for .357 or .44 mag would be really neat. A TC .45ACP would also be very interesting.

I think for the purpose silver plating of bullet to needed size would do the trick.A lot easier and cheaper than solid silver projectile.

Hell, that explains gold bullets as well :D

Silver Bullets were done on Mythbusters. Silver is a poor ballistic metal when compared with lead or gold.
Update: silver and gold are expensive.

Silver is harder to cast a it has a much higher melt point than lead.

Silver is also an _extremely_ good conductor of heat, whereas lead is quite a poor conductor of heat. So it will have _very_ different casting properties. I'm not a foundryman but I don't know if it is practical to cast silver or not. You might be better off machining it; it's a fun project, find yourself the right CNC machine shop and go for it!

A jeweller will make up any thing you want using investment casting.
Some have been used in the past as prizes at shoots . . . when silver was cheap.
A .50 BMG round in gold would make a good retirement fund if cast 45 years ago.
