So I am wondering if the barrel from a 10/22 and a 77/22 are interchangeable?

Do they have the same V-block system?

I have a project (read "daydream") in mind and am wondering if its will work...

Hey, Nate,

I believe that you can buy a special kit that will make it work. The barrel shanks on them are different lenght so without the kit they won't work. RFC is the place to check though and the kit is fairl cheap, I believe it is just a plactic circular washer type thing that you slip over the shank.

As bulls-eye mentioned, the shanks are a bit different legnths but a kit is available for them.

I have some time to play, so I think I will try and make a spacer myself when (if...) my heavy barrel ever gets here...

I always forget about RFC. I will check it out too.
