Just happened to get bored and went to Silver Mountain targets website and found they are just about to release the Solo system at just under $1000USD. There previous stand alone system the G2, while overall better and was not intended for causal individual use, was about $3000.

While not cheap it would make a nice addition to the range box, perfect for solo practise. Set it up anywhere as it runs of battery. Apparently will transmit up to 1000y, but your limited to the distance your round is supersonic for reading.

I honestly might pick one up, no more spotting scopes, or walking 300y plus to check and change targets or being the one guy who calls a ceasefire to check targets.

Similar to this?

Canadian made & Adam is top notch. I think he is also on CGN as well.

Cheers,

Great idea and I've been waiting for someone to make a single user version that was affordable.
I've used the Silver Mountain Target System in Ottawa and it works great, can't wait till they're available.

Bit of a bump,

Seems Both the Silver Mountain Solo and the Autotrickler Shotmarker are avalible.

Probably gonna pick one of these up, any guess to which one is the one to have? The Solo retails for 980USD while the Shotmarker goes for 799USD. Silver mountain does have the pedigree however.

Jimmy has the solo on order. I have used the smt’s in Calgary and like them in competition. Adams will be a test to see, hoping for a review soon.

I certainly hope you consider the Silver Mountain Targets SOLO, I am very pleased with how it has turned out. Not to get too techy but I think we have the best sensors on the market and I think they're going to do great things.

This week we are shipping our first production units to our dealers around the world - USA, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Africa, and.... Canada too! My Canadian dealer is Ian Robertson who is in the Ottawa area and his company and website is "vxsystems.ca"

We are paying a not-so-small fortune in courier bills to get these units delivered pronto but the good news is that I expect our dealers will have product in hand and be able to ship next week to customers.

So far there have been no production units out there which is things have been a bit quiet however we have just finished up a "Beta" test with several shooters around the world. Larry Bartholome of Texas was one of our Beta testers and did a nice write up on Accurate Shooter http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/solo-electronic-target-system.3953753 a few days ago. He took it out and shot on it at a thousand yards (in some Texas heat too) and seemed reasonably happy with it.

My order was placed with Ian Robertson and anxiously awaiting it's arrival.
Have 600m range setup on the farm already but to get to 900m I have to cross a small creek, this will save me lots of driving up and down the lane.
Can't wait to try it.

I think today is better than Christmas,
Silver Mountain Solo just arrived, sadly I won’t be able to try it out until the weekend but will give full report once I have.

Sadly no I’ve been away and just got home, hoping I can get out this weekend if the weather holds.

So today was the day, finally after a month I was able to try it out.
It worked great, easy setup took about 10 minutes.
Have to tweak a few things, change MPS to FPS.

Testing to see how much of a gain I would have over pointed vs non-pointed bullets, the Whidden Die pointed grouped about 1 MOA higher and tighter as well at 500 meters.
