Silver scope in black rifle?

I ended up getting a Bushnell elite about 7 years ago. I kept it buried in the closet since purchasing it. I really liked the elite and they don't make them anymore. Only issue its silver/grey. I'm going to purchase a model 70 not sure how it would look like silver scope on black rifle.

Anyone have a silver scope on a black rifle and how does it look?

No different than a matte black scope on a stainless barrel. As long as it functions and you like the scope, that's all that matters.

You can always rattle can if to match the rifle.....
Of course proper care and attention to the glass is required.

I ran silver rings with a black scope and black rifle, due to local availability. I returned it after one range trip and went online.

Its kinda like putting lips stick on a pig .
Simple solution is to buy another gun and another scope to match the dilemma and avert another lipstick and pig situ.

I found cryptic camo tape at wallyworld, still holding up.all these years later..

It’s all a matter of personal opinion… after looking at some pics of blued guns with grey/silver scopes i think it’s kind of rad. Especially with a nice laminate stock.

I don’t know. I like aesthetics, but I also like cost effective. If it was a beater hunting rifle for day to day use, I’d run it. Some of my rifles only get taken out on nice days because I like them a lot and prefer them to stay in the best condition possible. Others, I know they will get wet and dirty and roll in the mud. If it was a wet and dirty rifle, the colour of the scope wouldn’t mean anything to me!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I have matte black scopes on stainless rifles, matte and silver rings/bases. Silver scope on stainless revolver with black bases... It's subjective. My preference for the traditional and most aesthetically pleasing setup is a gloss black scope/rings/bases on blued rifle/wood stock. About the only way that can improve is if the scope body, rings and bases were all blued steel.

My lipstick and pig was tongue in cheek (some get it many dont)
Your correct it is all about personal preference.
I had a Browning Stainless Stalker...Blk stock, matte stainless action/barrel, matte blk rings and matte blk Leupold scope and killed game with it.
Dam, I miss that BSS in 300Winmag.

If you think it’ll be ugly, go a different route. There’s nothing wrong with having pride in how you set up your rifles, being tools or not.

My guns are tools but they also look damn good.

If you already own the scope , then go ahead and mount it . Neither the scope nor the rifle will mind .
