I need to solder a small fitted steel block to the end of my shotgun barrel to serve as a base for the Scattergun Technologies/Wilson Combat Sight I just received. There is some epoxying involved but I'm going to drill and pin that front sight anyway.
What silver solder do you recommend? I want to avoid heating that barrel any more than necessary.
PP.

I'm assuming the tin (Sn) stuff would be the best for that. I've got some 98% Sn 2% Ag stuff that melts at a pretty low temp.

Force 44 solder from Brownells is a special soft solder that is not affected by the hot blueing process. All other soft solders are.

Silver solder requires a lot of heat, almost red hot.
