Simmons .22 Mag AO scopes?

I have been using the plain 3-9 for a few years now, to date a very solid performer. I not sure is the AO buys you anything really useful. The cross hairs are i alittle chunky, they can cover a 1" circle at 100 yards so your not going to get super precision with it but it work fine in hunting situations.

It holds zero and adjust reliably. Unless they have changes the bundled rings are close to crap, they are aluminum and it's tough to get them clamped down on to dovetails. Swap them out for steel rings and you are good to go.

Last year I inhereted a couple of thrashed 22's after some clean up it turns out they shoot good enough to keep. I'll be buying another 2 of these scopes without hesitation.

I have a bunch of the .22 mag scopes....like 7 :)
Best bank for the buck IMO. I wouldn't put one on anything BUT a rimfire, but for these they are great. clear as well. I went to buying the 3-9X32's and the 4X32's (non AO) as it is really easy to set your paralax range at home (I set mine for 20m) and they stay crystal clear out to 100.
I probably have an extra one or two if you wanted to try one cheap ;)

I have a couple 4X32 and a 3-9X32. I would be interested if you would describe the steps to set the paralax.
Thanks:D

Sure! Set up a target at you usual minimum range, then unscrew very front of the scope (the ring that says simmons .22 mag is actually like a "washer") Once you have the front ring off you will see a threaded pertion sticking out: This is your OB focus lense housing. Just look through the scope at your target and twist that whole threaded insert until your focus is crisp. Re-install the front ring and it's locked in place.

Hopefully this makes sense!

I'll try that. I usually just mount em and shoot em as is:)

Thanks for the reviews guys. Talked to the Simmons rep at the show yesterday. They have a new 6-24x42mm side focusing scope that is price competative with the Bushnell 3200 line and is available in Silver-matte too. Didn't have that scope on display, but I had a chance to fondle some of the others.
