Simmons Aetec Master 2.8-10x44mm Riflescope

from what's advertised this scope would fit me perfectly. 3.5" constant eye relief throughout the zoom range is something I always dreamed of. And the price is not too bad ...

So, what I'm looking for is good or bad experiences with this thing.
Anyone?

Simmons was recently bought by Bushnell (along with Millett). Bushnell Canada stated they are cherry picking certain models from the old line and the Aetec was not one that was offered to me (still may be available from other sources). I think there may be better alternatives to the Aetec that are in greater supply and have a known history and warranty. Aetec's are relatively rare in Canada. Phil.

I've had one for a few years, but it's sat in the locker since I upgraded to Leup. Till that time it was a very good unit, a little on the large size for dense bush hunting.

The one reason I'd never buy another one, would be WARRANTY. It needs to be shipped Stateside to get repaired. That, in and of itself, isn't worth the cheaper cost. Buy a Leup or Bushnell of the same general parameters if you can.

Cabellas Canada has them for $179 but I think I'll pass the deal.
Now I need extension rings...
