Simons Scope 3x9 need info on it

Can anyone tell about this scope that came with a winchester model 70 22-250.The scope is a Simons 3x9 power model number 1038 made in Japan . How good are they and what are they worth ?

Although I still own an A-tech, i'll not be buying another. It's been a good scope but nothing as good as my Leupold's. The warranty is problematic as they still need to be shipping stateside. That may change with Bushnell taking over, but it was Bushnell that told me to send it south just last year when I asked.

For the most part, they're good scopes, just not worth lots.

i enjoy my 3x9x 40mm and 50mm Simmons scopes. Bought them used on EE..put them on a gun...sighted them in....and after several years, they are as clear and bright as any I have possession of...Bushnell, Tasco. Leopold.... Never had to readjust from year to year and they certainly see their use as they are now on my gopher guns and see hundreds of shots each day during Spring and Summer.( my hobby)
IMO..... What is in a name.....every brand can have duds....Never had to send any away to be fixed...so do not know the ins and outs of shipping to USA.
