I bought a M305 Norinco. May need various parts, where do I get them? and are they compatible? Just a bit complicated this thing. I.e. need a source for parts without changing the whole thing to USGI M14, just a Norinco. Where are the parts?TWK

Sorry, can't help you with specifics, but if you bought it from one of our sponsors, most of them are pretty responsive to questions like this, and most of them stock parts for the guns they sell.

You will need to read and study the stickies posted above very closely. They can answer 90% of your questions. You should handle and shoot your M-14 for awhile before launching out on bling-bling parts and paraphernalia. Get to know it and then upgrade what's not working correctly, if anything at all. Money spent on bulk ammo is a great place to start, unless you are more of a collector than shooter.

I've had mine for over two years and have only changed the rear sight and recoil spring yet. The sight only because the aperture was drilled slightly off center and could have been corrected by an aperture alone, and the recouil spring to change to a better op rod spring guide, which I haven't bought yet!!!

It can still out shoot me by a margin, with bulk FMJ ammo at all distances and positions, except perhaps on my bench rest with good optics.:canadaFlag:

All depends on the part. There are various sources.

Post the parts ur interested in acquiring and we can point you towards said dealers.

Off the top of my head, check out Brownells (USA) for M1A parts. They won't ship everything, but what they do ship is good. Try wolff springs, 762mm, north eastern arms and the EE on this site for starters.

Good luck and shoot straight!

TX for the help guys. I was looking for spare Norinco bolt parts i.e. extractor, extractor spring, ejector and spring and possibly a spare firing pin. As I understand these things have a bad habit of flying off so, I wanted to make a field kit of a few parts just in case.

hmm ok thanks, I thought maybe there would be some sort of metric/standard clash... i dunno how they make their stuff...noob here;)

the only real clash, IIRC comes with the threading on the barrel for the gas cylinder lock.

I've got a usgi flash hider, rear sight and stock on mine without issues - the stock required some filing.
