Sinclair bullet comparator?

I have the stony point comparator and its good. I belive hornady has bought them out. There doesnt appear to be anywhere to purchase modified cases in different calibers anymore. I would be happy to hear otherwise.

I have the comparator set from Sinclairs, mine are the hex bolt shaped ones. Fantastic piece once you get figured out how to work it. FS

the sinclair ones work way better, I've bought both, and the hornady one wasn't as accurate, also the sinclair OAL tool works way better and will give you a better guage of where your lands are.
cheers!

The Hornady and Sinclair comparator bodies are the same. Sinclair has come up with a different design for the actual comparator but both will give you the same result.

I use the Stoneypoint/Hornady version and it works great.

I woulden't want to handload without my sinclair............I find it VERY easy to use, and all you need is a set of calipers to go with it.

Sinclairs will ding you with a big international order fee as well as just about the most expensive shipping possible. The hex nut type comparator will cost at least 2.5 times the list price of tool including all of the above.

Its a good tool but the international order fee is a rip off.

Yup they wanted $31 for shipping. So a $30 tool would cost more than double to get to my door. And so if in the future I wanted to buy another insert for a different caliber I would again have to pay $31 for a $8 part.

The International order fee at Sinclairs is $6.00, got two orders from there in the last 3 weeks. FS

They ship via US Postal Service, have you ever ordered from Sinclair? Doesn't sound like it to me. FS

As per their website.....
We normally ship International orders by U. S. Postal Service (USPS) Other options, such as UPS are available upon request. All International orders are subject to actual shipping charges plus a $6.00 handling fee. Sinclair International is not responsible for International Customs duties, taxes, fees, etc. It is the customer's responsibility to cover these costs upon delivery.

Most packages exiting our facility should be received within 10-14 days. If a shipping method is not requested, we will ship USPS Priority Mail, as it is delivered quickly and is usually the most affordable option. Please be sure to include a current e-mail address and phone number with each order or correspondence.

The OAL tool is the better tool, much more versatile and larger caliber selection.
I have about 40 extra OAL cases I will be posting in the exchange forums as soon as I can list all the calibers.
