Sinclair F-Class bipod

I've been using a first-generation one for 4 or 5 years. It's been good. Some have reported problems with the lock on the legs letting go.....but on my 18 lb rifle it hasn't been a problem yet, and I think the newer generations have a better system.

I have two of the second gen units. I really like them, though if u have a rifle with with a flat buttstock elevation changes can be difficult. I wanted to get some honest feedback before I go ahead and buy a third gen with the new elevation knob on it. I think that would be very handy.

Other wise one of the simplest and best bipods I have ever used.

FWIW, I would consider others ahead of the Sinclair.

What bipods do u recommend I take a look at?

I have considered trying the dolphin tracker, the newest one they just recently came out with.

I like the sinclair because it's simple, very durable, when you adjust the height it doesn't change the width between the legs and the price is hard to beat.

I like my LRA bipod also but I can almost buy three sinclair bipods for the same price

Depending on budget and weight issues the three I recommend for F-Class are: Remple, Dolphin Trakker and one I have just started to review that is made by Jayson at Xtreme Gun. I have detailed reviews of the first two on this site.

For tactical-type rifles and games I'd recommend the LRA followed by the Atlas with Harris S bringing up the rear.

I run the LRA on my Cadex chassis. Very nice bipod, just really pricy. Most of the time I just put my Harris on because I would hate to scratch up my nice LRA bipod.

I would try the dolphin bipod. The remple looks pretty heavy and overly complicated do accomplish the same end result.

Ok, my apologies. What do I know, plus I didn't answere your original question, nore could I. As i use a Remple

But the Sinclair does flex,

The Sinclair does not flex. The only way it could move is if it ripped the stud rite out of the stock.............
Also the round steel feet are ment to slide, only way you could try to make it flex is if u somehow attached the feet to something solid.

Either way, not happening

Back from the US Nationals. compared to last year, almost no Sinclairs visible. Weren't many Sebs either... which was surprising.

Team Sinclair doesn't shoot this bipod.

Fielded a bunch of questions on the MPOD. Very positive feedback from good US shooters who are trying and converting to the MPOD.

I have had the pleasure of shooting a few rds with the Star Shooter and it did work nicely.

Bipods continue to be a huge area of testing and development for peak FTR performance. Where it all ends up, no idea but I am sensing a trend from some shooters back to simple, basic and solid.

Number 1 concern... weight
Then stability and tracking

A very distant last, lots of knobs and ways to adjust and tweak the bipod for set up. Many are finding, the more ways to adjust, the more ways the bipod will go OUT of adjustment during a relay.

YMMV.
