Single action .44 Magnum

Folks,
I'm the new owner of a single action .44 magnum revolver. This gun has "Morrison Bangor Maine" stamped into the frame. I'm looking for information about the manufacturer, age, value, reliability, etc. Any information would be appreciated.

Google has told me of a gunsmith named Carl "Bill" Morrison in Bangor Maine, one article described him as "the great" Bill Morrison. The article showed a pic of a Blackhawk with custom work done to it. Maybe this helps?

Bill Morrison would be 91 years old... seems like he did lots of work on Ruger's in the late 60's early 70's.
