G'day CGN, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section for this post but i figure anyone cruising this section that practices/competes in CAS might be a good source of info. Also, i apologize if this has been asked before but;

Where would be a good place to look for a belt and holster for a single action revolver? Thanks in advance!

Marstar might be a good Canadian source to start with. The site shows several options for reasonably good holsters/belts. Another: Working Cowboy Gun Leather, in Chatham, Ontario. Also: The Last Best West....in Calgary, Alberta. Most though, are in the U.S. This includes: Mernickle, Doc Noper, Tombstone Leather, El Paso Saddlery. Plus, quite a few more custom gun leather makers. The Single Action Shooting Society website for example, lists any number of custom gunleather makers. Well worth a look.
How do you intend to use your gun leather? For casual range use and plinking? Or for competition? This will determine what suits you best.
Hope this very basic info is helpful.

Thanks Al, that info is very helpful! For the time being it will only be used for casual range use. I'm not ruling out competition in the future but certainly not any time soon.

I've only got the bug for single action revolvers in the last couple years and it seems absurd to have a nice wheel gun without a classy way of carrying it!

Thank again for the info, this should keep me busy for a while!

If you are looking at competition in the future BEFORE you spend any money, download the SASS Shooters Handbook & READ IT. Yes, it is dry, yes it is boring but it does list the various categories that you compete in. Some categories require specific firearms, specific belts, specific clothes. Spend your money wisely, buy only once!

PS Stay away from Black Hills Leather in Texas, buyer beware.

Bobbum Man: Here are a couple more sites, that may be of interest. Not only for holsters/belts, etc., but also general single-action shooting information, too: NCOWS(National Congress of Old West Shooters). CAS City. The CAS City forums are always very informative. Including: " The Leather Shop", forum. Also: be sure to visit the "SASS forum". (Single Action Shooting Society) forum. A wealth of knowledge to be found there, on all aspects of cowboy-related shooting activities. As Garand mentioned, spend your money wisely! Knowledge is key.
Hope this further info is useful.

Thanks for the tips, appreciate all your help! All this saves me a ton of googling what may or may not yield quality info
