1) I generally dont like single points on any barrel longer that 16".

I like the Blue Force Gear SOC-C sling -- it does single, 2 and three point positions with a click of fastex. The Giles Single Point from Wilderness is a good sling -- a bit to nylon"y" for my
taste though.

There are also single point slings that attach to any vest or armour you wear. All the BFG slings are modular so they will fit on any weapon and work for right or left handed shooters.

Vickers sling on the way to you ;)

As far as a true single point goes, I've been very impressed with my CSM Gear single point - Doc's a Navy Corpsman attached to USMC Force Reconnaisance in Camp Pendleton - and besides the obvious medical stuff, he's also one of their assaulter instructors, so he knows gear, and makes some of the best stuff out there and is quick to ship, as well as putting your order to the front of the line if you're about to deploy - that's very nice.

I've also been playing with the Blue Force Vicker's sling lately, and it's growing on me the more I use it.

I think either would be a good aquisition.

Had a SOC-C and found it just had too many connectors on it for what I was using. Bought a Vickers and absolutely love it. 2-point gives me better control over the weapon, and the Vickers lets you transition from a carrying sling to a shooting sling in a snap. Great piece of kit.
