Probably have the name of this item wrong...

I have a Tikka T3 in .223 Rem with a 1:8" Twist. This rifle shoots heavier bullets very well. So far I've been using mainly 68 gr Hornady HP-BT Match bullets. The real down side here is these cartridges are too long to feed from the magazine. Due to the heavy barrel, when I try to use these single shot, the cartridge will often hit the end of the barrel/chamber and not feed in. There must be a some piece that would slide into the magazine and provide a bit of a ramp to lift the cartridge up for single shot use.

I suppose I could make something out of sheet metal, but I would rather buy something designed specifically for this purpose.

Does anyone know where I could get something like this?

I tried Tikka (no reply) and the Canadian importer (this is news - but they did have some ideas there and then). Guess we better find a handyman who can make up a follower that fits the magazine......

I got one from Ian Robertson fro my Rem 700, but I am not so sure where to get one for a Tikka. You may want to check with Ian and see what he can find for you; he makes amazing stocks and he uses these followers off and on. Mine can be wiggled out of the action without actually removing the action from the stock.
