was out shooting gophers with the ol' 180 today and got to wondering if it would be feasable to remove or block certain components of the gas return system, basically turning it into a straight pull bolt action.
I'm interested in doing this as i have no need to blast off rounds i put so much time into reloading with care, in a rapid-noise making manner, and i get tired of searching for my brass flung everywhere when i could be ejecting it under control.
I thought about just pulling the piston out, but not sure if that would just leave it open to blow gas straight back in my face.
any input?
