Single shots in .460 S&W?

Hi,

Just wondering if there are currently any single shot rifle offerings in 460 S&W mag? My buddy has a hand rifle in 500 S&W and its wicked. Would it be possible/ feasible to convert an available one of some caliber into 460? Im thinking not since it would require some kind of custom barrel.

Well the ruger #1 certainly is a nice rifle, but way above my budget for this. I more interested in a handi rifle or that price ball park.
 
Yeah good idea guys. I think a 45-70 handi rifle would be the cheapest way to go to get close to a .460. Either that or just go for the .500!
 
Yeah you guys are right but if he shoots or someday wants to shoot a 45 Colt or a 454 Casull or a 460S&W revolver it is a lot of fun to take the same bullets/ammo out into the bush with a rifle.

In handguns I mostly shoot 10mm/45 Colt/454 Casull I have a 18" T/C Contender carbine barrel in 10mm and a 14" T/C Contender carbine barrel in 45 Colt and a 20" barreled Puma M92 that I can shoot 45 Colt/454 Casull in I call the M92 my 45-70 lite.

A short barreled Encore in 460S&W would be a hoot for me I already have all the components for reloading 45 Colt/454 Casull would just have to buy brass and I would be good to go to the next level.

I also have a 22" T/C Contender carbine barrel in 45-70 and would still be interested in getting an Encore with a 20" 460 barrel.

If I were to get into Encores as well the only other barrel I would want for the Encore would be a shortened to 20" - 22" 375H&H barrel.

I just changed my mind I would also want to get a 500S&W barrel so I could shoot those 700gr loads...
