Any thoughts on which is the best - cost effective single mag pouches for single stack magazines ??

With or without additionnal spacers to accomodate SS mags

Don't really like my double (side-by-side) BladeTech with Tek-Loc.

Ghost makes a single stack pouch now. Similar to the 360. One of the vendors at the Ontarios had them and they looked very nice. I'll probably go that way as I'm not happy with my current setup for Classic.

I use both pouches below-

Bladetech revolutions
pros: tek-lok modularity, solid kydex, robust, readily available
cons: vertical posture only, no direction orientation

Safariland 771
pros: kydex strength, one-piece construction, retention strength
cons: limited availability

I beg to differ. Look at all the holes on the back of the belt plate. The screws are not just for tightening the pouch.

if one wants to mount the pouch at 90 or 180 degree position, sure.
and i was referring to the revolution SMP models, not the comp models.

How about the Uncle Mike double mag pouches for single stacks? I just ordered two of them from them and will use them in the classics division. They would not ship up here so I had them delivered to my US mailbox.

I already have Bladetech double pouches but what I don't like is that you cannot adjust the tension precisely since the tension changes when you pick one of the mags.

I received my Uncle Mikes mag pouches last week and I am very happy with them. The tension is adjustable and for the price they are fantastic. I ordered two double pouches but now I think I may need one more for the Classic division of IPSC.

If you have cr speed versa pouches, you may want to give this a try

Funny because I was reading CZ Custom site 2 minutes ago and it says : "These pouches will fit 1911 magazine, instructions are not clear how to do this. You use the BER-CZ spacer, do not connect it through the adjuster screw, just through the main screw and let the tab hang down."

If I put it the way they say, I cannot tight the mag that much but if I do it the way on the video you posted, I can tight it but it may be harder to insert them fast like in a stage where all mags are on the table.

I'll try both at the range this week and will post the results, unless someone already have the answer.

I'll take a look at the 1911 spacers Freedom Ventures made too.

OK, just getting back from a run around the house with my rig on... after checking there were no neighborgs in sight :p

I tested 8-rounds 45ACP and 10-rounds 9mm.

Tab up is quite better as for stability of the mags. They are wobbling more with the tab down.

There is no advantage for fast "pouching" (is that a word ) with the tab down since the mag slides in the indexing slot instead of going down.

So I'll put them all up and see what happens at the next match and for the stages with mags on the table, I will use my magnet !

I will order the CR spacers (sorry Sean, I thought you made them :D) and try them to compare when I'll get them

The spacers are a good addition to CR Speed using ss shooter. I used my CR Speed pouches for one ss shoot and broke one of the stock spacers by the second stage.
