this is my sino-soviet , its the first year production of the chinese SKS type 56 in 1956, not as rare the russian equivalent 1949 SKS45 .

these sino-soviet were manufactured by russian equipments in china , with some russian parts , supervised by russians.

if you have one , please post some pics.

Hey C, so is this a non-refurb? What about more of the history. (e.g. how many were made under the Russians, who was the importer, is the mag bolt-welded) Have you shot this? How does it compare to the later Norinco SKS's? Someone out there might have a unique piece like yours but may not know how to spot it. Am sure any additional identifying guidelines will be of great assistance.

glad you asked .

the sinos were built as well as any russian SKS , matter of fact you wouldnt be able to tell the diffence to a late russian if there was no markings, serial numbers and the wood . the factory continue to build them well till the mid 60s , thereafter they started to find ways of making them cheaper, cost cutting and producing them faster.

sino has a distinct serial numbers , serial numbers less than a million followed by /26\ but quite often you will see a letter or a symbol followed by 4 numerics (like mine).

nope, i havent fired mine and have no plans to . BTW mine been refurb .
