SIR says Marlin7000 discountinued?

SIR says the Marlin 7000 is discontinued? I talked to three different SIR people on different occasions there and they've all said the same thing. Anyone else hear of this?

Wonder if Wholesale Sporst still carries them?
 
All three clerks said that supposedly Marlin discontinued producing them. However, I find that hard to believe. The Marlin crowd at Rimfire.com assured me that Marlin7000 was still in production. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get any other responses from the higher ups at SIR yet. I'm taking the clerks responses with a 'grain of salt', so to say.

It was on the site a couple of days ago when I checked. I wonder why it's been discountinued?
 
My son wanted a Marlin 7000. Does anyone know who still has them? S.I.R. doesn't and neither does Russel sporting goods.

If you are really interested and have to have one Gone fishin in Nanaimo has one on the shelf but they want 300 bucks,,, :runaway:
 
I forget what S.I.R wanted when they had them, but Russell's was selling them for $229.99 before they sold out, so that seem's kind of steep. But thanks for the info. :)

Me too. Oh well - I"ll get a 795, and maybe find a used 7000 someday - or maybe the feeling will pass and I'll get something else. In gun world, there's always hundreds of things I want vs what I can have or afford. :runaway:
