Size this bear

I've got some trail cam pics of a bear..Unfortunately, it looks liek the flash hit the underbrush ahead of the camera, and so the bear itself is fuzzy.

I've removed some of the underbrush, hopefully get some better pics of stuff. Sorry for the poor quality.

Anyway, anyone want to take a guess at the size of Mr Bear?

If the black part of the pic is all bear he is colassal.

I think he's a shooter... based on the buckets behind him, he's got a big mellon of a head!!!

I guess 5.5 to 6 feet but it is just a wild guess, not enough detail in the pics.
This time of year when bears are realy fat it can be harder to make a good guess.

The last pic is the only one I can see any thing to judge by. The two buckets seem to fill the space between his legs and he looks like he is pretty close to them. Guessing the bucket/cooler ends total about 20 inches. using my eyeballomiter I figure he is 4.5 times nose to tail the length of the bucket ends so I am guessing 90 inches with the hide stretched flat. Wait that can't be right. Forget the above I have never been able to judge bears on the hoof.

If that is trail cam set it up so it records the bear stretched out against a tree standing up and licking sardine juice. (just don't shoot him near the sradine juice)

Probably a shooter in my books, 275lbs or more.

Can you try mounting the camera higher, looking down more to get around the undergrowth?

I would guess him to be five feet maybe. As for weight, well, he is more than me....
