Sizing .308win down to .243win

What out of the bag, virgin brass in the common domestic brands is now the best quality?

PRVI is not bad, it's on the lighter and thinner side like Winchester, and necks are pre-annealed....seems to last well.

I've sized lots of .308 down to .243 without a problem and haven't had to turn necks yet.

just picked up a set of .338 Federal dies today and had to try them out.
Using IVI brass.....................1 easy pass into the FL die and PRESTO! .................1 .338 Federal case.
I actually giggled! this is going to be fun.

I run assorted 243 brass through my dies as 308 food for HK91. olso fire them in 308 ruger American. no problems

Oddly enough the resized Norma didn't shoot nearly as good as the Winchester... So I give up lol
Wonder if it's the short necks?

So to resize 308 to 243 you just run it through your .243 sizing die ? And that's it besides trimming it of course .

Neck tension may not be uniform. You could try neck annealing, or seating without expanding after sizing down. Either might give more uniform bullet pull.

I'll try that, cases are too short to crimp with the Lee FCD, so that isn't an option lol.
