sizing brass

Hi everyone. I think I might have read something about neck sizing brass by adjusting your FL die? Is this possible? If so can someone explain? Thanks in advance for any help.

Instead of turning your die down to touch the shell holder when ram is up, back off a 1/2 turn or so. To check, smoke or use a black marker to darken your case adjust your die so that you are not pushing/touching the shoulder of your case.

You will get far less neck runout and way more life out of your brass with a Lee collet neck size die than you will by partial FL sizing. Just my 2 cents.

I plan on getting a neck sizing die but right now I spent my budget just getting my fl die set. I'm actually just starting since around where I'm from the only rounds I can for my 7mm-08 are federal prems for $47 a box. I am a believe for using the right tool for the job but funds don't allow anymore reloading equipment for a bit. thanks for your comments
