I checked google didnt find much about the one i have, found info about the older ones no adjustable comb or screw in chokes. Just trying to find roughly when it was made and if the 530 i spent was good or not as it is my first O/U

I have the older model 500 myself. No adjustable comb or screw in chokes.
Shoulders like a dream and is a pleasure to handle.
The adjustable comb I can live without but the chokes would be nice.

here are some pics

hopefully these pics work

Jessie,
Overall looks to be a good buy. If it is actually marked as a model 500, the screw-in chokes are aftermarket installed. I believe than not until the introduction of the model 505 were factory installed screw chokes available.

The adjustable comb is not original. The Monte-carlo stock is intended to facilitate shooting Trap. I cannot see in the pics if there is a mid-bead which would indicate that the gun was built as a target gun rather than a field model and the MonteCarlo added at some point. SKB did serialize the wood to the frames so if you care to check originality, take off the trigger guard and the number should be impressed in the inletted wood.

Tim.

Tim, it does have the mid bead. I have not remove the trigger gaurd yet but the serial number on te forestock and the frame are the same. I will pull the gaurd later today and see what it says. I will let you guys know the results. Thanks
