Shot a shotgun for the first time - for a round of skeet - with my brand new remington 870 express tactical a tacs.

Damn that was a lot of fun. I guess I'll have to save up for a more appropriate gun lol! Target loads have barely any kick, I was expecting way more.

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself and want to do more clay target shooting. Don't be in a hurry to buy that new gun. With the right choke tube, yours will do fine for the time being. Try to shoot as many clay guns as you can. That will help you find the one that will work best for you. Also, remember, that you will not likely ever buy your last target shotgun ...

I started just like you and now I'm addicted. I shoot 12,16,20,28 and 410. I have several guns in each gauge and am on a constant quest to 25 all of them.I reload for all gauges as well in an attempt to "save money" . It really means I just shoot more. Be carefull, this game can get expensive ( I don't care )

25 is not missing any right? I didn't do a proper rotation through the stations? I missed the first shot from each house (had no idea where they were going to fly), and since i'm new with the pump, I wasn't fast enough to do doubles. Otherwise, i hit 22 of 25.

Is it possible to buy a gun that will be good for skeet, sporting clays (which i've never tried) and 3gun (which i've never tried either lol)

As much fun as it was, for you, it get's that much better, when you are shooting doubles, especially if you shoot doubles, at stations 1 through 7. Doubles on stations 3,4,5 are a good challenge.

Blasted my first clays this summer and loved it too... one of the main reasons I wanted to get into firearms

There is just something pleasing about shooting reactive targets like Clays. I started last spring and who knows how many cases of shells later, and I am looking forward to the club starting up again in May.

Station 8... I don't think I did station 8? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No i'm pretty sure I didn't. I don't remember walking out between the two throwers.

f:P:

You didn't shoot any doubles, or station eight? You missed all of the fun.

Only problem with his videos is that he makes it look Waaaaaaay easier than it is.

Station 8 is easy, until you start shooting each house from in front of the pad. A few yards isn' t bad, but by the time you are over five yards in front of the pad, it starts getting much more difficult.:)

I wasn't particularly speaking of station 8, I meant in general he makes it look way easier than it is. Every shot with absolutely minimal effort. Mr. Batha is just such a practiced shot that he makes all his shots look super easy.
