Trying to find this out for my sister actually. She wants to take her husband skeet shooting for his birthday. Problem is neither has their PAL so what they need is somewhere that offers all. Gun rental, insturctor etc. Any ideas?

Send me a pm. I will take you to a private club, La Roue du Roy, near Hemmingford. Under instructor supervision or a licensed shooter, you don't need a PAL.

She can go to Montreal Anglers and Hunters near Montreal. They can shoot Trap, Skeet and Five stand. They can talk to Jean Brousseau. The people there are really friendly.

Do it ... Roue du Roy all the way !

Beware ... Henry likes good food and expensive wine !!!

Thanks! I do like good food but not expensive wines, just good or great wines! I drink the great wines while in Europe, about 1/3 the price of here. Example: In Montalcino, at a little restaurant next to an enoteca and away from the main piazza and the castle, I got a 2001 Brunello La Fuga Riserva from Antonio & Giovanni Folonari (Giovanni is a great guy that hunts) for 35E including service & tax. Here, I could not afford to buy it from a liquor store if it was possible! It is worth over $200 in the US and thus $400 plus taxes in a restaurant! I bought some nice 2007 Brunello from one of my wine agency friends for $51 a bottle. I was at a certain pastagate notorious restaurant where it was in the wine list Monday at, $250 plus taxes. I know over a dozen agencies that have private imports. You can get a fantastic Chianti in private import for $12.95 a bottle.

The offer is La Roue du Roy with free instruction. You just pay for the ammo and clays. We go to the pub for lunch.

To the OP ... take Henry up on his offer - you won't regret it !

Henry ... just pulling your chain - I too enjoy good food & wine ... but really
have to think hard about anything over $ 50 / bottle ... no matter how good.
Am partial to good amarone's, among others.

I try never to drink white wine (unless all the red is gone), to drink out of
styrofoam, eat with plastic utensils or from a paper plate. Just too damn
uncivilized ! ;)

I got some very nice 2005 and 2007 Amarones from Masi as private imports. I can set you up for the 2007, as I know the man that works for Masi and not the agency. It can be shipped to your local LCBO. BTW, I have gone from DT10L to a DT 11 last May. So much easier to shoot and so much denser patterns! Offer is still open. BTW, the clubhouse will undergo major renovations in two weeks, somewhere in the 3/4 million $$. They hope to have it done within 2 months. The front automated sporting will be expanded to several shooting positions per field, the tower (85 feet) will have 4 machines and there should be two other sporting clay courses in the fields. Plus, it has an 8 station FITASC/5-stand field, 3 skeets and soon 3 traps.

If I win the 6-49, I will get an SO! Plus a house in Tuscany! LOL!!!
