Sks 15

I always wanted one when you could find them used for sub $500. Now everyone wants over a grand. Most reviews I’ve seen mention questionable feeding and a horrible take down process but I have no first hand experience.
 
I've handled one at a gunshow in the past. There is a crap ton of small screws involved in disassembly. Better to get an sks and have a shop do an LAR mag conversion. Cheaper and easier.

I almost bought one because I liked the concept of a "modernized" SKS that uses pistol magazines. I decided not to go for it once I found out what kind of an abortion procedure it is to disassemble it. The SKS is supposed to be easy to disassemble for cleaning and maintenance. The SKS 15 adds an unnecessary, time-consuming series of steps for disassembly that requires FOUR (4) different kinds of hex wrenches.
