looking into buying an SKS this spring and have a couple questions for the guys more in the know than me. Original plan was for a Mini-14 or Mini-30, but the SKS pricing with cheap ammo is best for me. The Rugers seem to not be as accurate as I would like and have been reading about Accustrut and Har-Bar's and how they stabilise the Ruger barrels to really improve grouping. My question is: Has anyone tried a similar barrel stabilising device on a SKS? I will try it once I get one, but have trouble sourcing out heavy enough clamps to do the trick. Any thoughts on this? Anyone know where to get good heavy duty clamps? I have a couple ideas on what i want to build, but can't do it till i actually have the gun in my hands for proper measurement.
