sks aftermarket barrels

I am wondering..... anyone heard of any sources for replacement barrels for the sks? I wanted to try a barrel a few inches longer..... any ideas or thoughts.... maybe have to get one custom made somehow?

One can take a Lee Enfield barrel to the lathe and recut the chamber. That will give you around 23.5" or so when it is all done. m39a2 did that to an sks years ago. Nobody seems to make a replacement barrel though.

45a probably not long enuff for what you are looking for but how about a yugo barrel? its 22' long (with the GL 24' ) , you will have to lathe the thicker parts down , easier than building a new barrel.

whats wrong with custom ordering one? I am sure a few 'smiths have X39 reamers. You can make it longer a bit beefier too.

This alone would make it worth every penny. Hack up as many LE's as you can to perfect it, make spares, hell sell them on here.

A longer barrel would definitely increase barrel whip during rapid fire, making the rifle even less accurate during rapid fire shooting exercises.
