So, after doing my research and figuring out the ideal gun for my budget, I realize that these great SKS rifles are out of stock at Marstar. Am I hooped at getting one of these at a price under or at 500 dollars?

I really, really hope not.

Guys, please don't tell me I got my hopes up for nothing.

Nope, you are not hooped. Not unless you are completely sold on having a spanking new Norinco SKS. There have recently been more than a few shipments of Russian SKS of variable quality (good/very good). These are around $250-$300. A nice ATI stock for around $100 will make it look less like a hunting rifle, and $200 for a crate of ammo...you would be in business.

Ahahahahahahaa.... first and last time I was on there, there was a guy selling a "canadian legal AK/cz 858; only $6000!"
One guy had this posted...
Browning, parabellum 9 mm. 2 clips, perfect condition, with holster. original parts and new. tangent adjustable rear sight. groove for wooden holster stock. $500

The pics he sent me were from a BHP that must have been buried for 50 years by all the obvious severe pitting.....he didn't respond when I questioned his eyesight, or lack of. :D

EE best place to shop but you gotta watch the EE like a hawk and reply within seconds if you want an SKS.

All 3 sks's Ive sold, offed them for $200 and were taken in minutes.

Milarm at 11:30 pm shows nothing in stock, Firearms Canada and searching the internet cannot find sportsmans den? Do they have a phone #, thanks.

I've had several,
My favorite is a yugoslav refurbished model, it will hit a pie plate at 200m almost every time, my Norinco models will do the same at 100m. If your patient watch the EE for a yugo. You should be able to get one for under $500. I paid $375 last spring but I was fast on the draw and it was local.
Hope this helps.
