Notice to everyone in the lower mainland... I've had a helluva time finding surplus 7.62x39! Finally got a good bead on it outta Chilliwack at dart and tackle. They got about 10 crates left... I couldn't find it anywhere else!

Lil bit pricier at $250... but it keeps me blasting!

WOW $250 !!!! what a jump, faster than the condo market in the spring, lol. and i still have to put in 2 hrs drive there and back.

its was just $169 in oct when i last bot mine in vancouver, boy am i lucky.

vancouver

Reliable on FRASER IN VAN have them for 225 as well. People should stop buying the sks. I liked the amo price like before. Now i have to go back to my 10/22.

last month i heard a member paid $200 up north and i thought that was high and now its even higher at $225.

i also read in US gun site that they have the same problem there too with ammo that use to be cheap so it aint a local thing. :(

Also here in Kanuckistan these prices are controlled by a very small group of importers.

Anyone with a bankroll to invest, and a good shipping brokerage could bust the market wide open.

Watch the trends closely...see for yourself.
Also get reloading stuff now, before they mark this stuff up as well.

What about our friend and forum sponser Canada Ammo? I bought a crate from him for $169 shipped - granted this was a while back... is he out of Czech surplus? If not he's the way to go.

thanks to Calum and his doomsday predictions (which so far seem on the mark  ) I have a extra crate I picked up locally (he does not ship so don't ask... )

I have only shot about 200 rounds so I have 1900 left :dancingbanana:

i wanted to buy from him back in oct but he emailed me saying he was sold out and i recall reading on CGN in dec that he still has none. this is not good news, its gonna make me shoot less so i too dont run out, bummer.

I can't buy any ammo until I know whether I'm going to RRU or not.
If I get in, then I can get a student loan and BUY BUY BUY.

So we'll see. But for now, I can't buy it while it's cheap. I'll have to wait another 2 or 3 months and buy when it's inflated even more.

Yah, unfortunately shipping is the huge thing! I was gonna get from Marstar but $189 and $50 shipped... then I hafta wait 2 weeks before I can shoot. I'm out in Chilliwack and I don't mind paying $250 to get it right away... plus save a 3 hour drive and $25 gas to get it in Van.
