Sks ammo ?

I recently received a box of NORMA ammo - it says 7.62 RUSS , 180 grains, 11.6 grams -- soft point -semi point - boattail .

Can these be used in an SKS ?

All 3 are 7.62 and hail from "RUSS", but only one is "7.62 Russian" or better known as 7.62x54.

Sks feeds on 7.62x39 (middle one) which is usually around 123gr bullets.

The little guy is 7.62x25 most commonly found being fed to tokarev pistols.

Can you give some history on what these might be for, my buddy was not sure where he got them?

7.62x54r is used in many Russian military rifles such as the 91/30 Mosin-Nagant and SVT-40 which many of us are collecting and using as shooters also.
